You can use the Online, Mac, or Windows version. If you already bought one - great - use that!
If you haven't bought yet, you can consider what is important to you:
Do you want many different people to access your company file from different locations? If so QuickBooks Online is probably the best bet.
Do you use the Mac only and want to have access to quick books sometimes when you aren't connected to the Internet? If that's the case QuickBooks for Mac is probably a good bet.
Do you use Windows for a Mac with VMware to run Windows and want to access QuickBooks when you're not connected to the Internet? This is what we actually use: the latest Windows QuickBooks Pro version plus VMware.
One other factor on deciding against using QuickBooks Online is you can buy a Mac or Windows QuickBooks version and then use it for multiple years. If you use QuickBooks online you've always have to pay the monthly fee, and if you use one version for several years before upgrading again it will be a lot less expensive to use QuickBooks for Mac or Windows.
That said this is a personal decision. Love to hear what other people think in this thread - just click reply below.
